A bit of Spring

I wanted to share this little slice of Spring. These flowers I got were just too pretty not to post a picture of them. They are so colorful, huh?

I had to come up for some air for a moment from all I have going on. Yesterday began Spring Break from my courses, and I have been needing desperately to relax for a bit. So, yesterday, my friend Kathy came over after work to spent the rest of yesterday with me. With school and work, I so rarely get free time to spend with my friends. Although they understand my busy schedule, I feel like I neglect them. So, I have to reconnect with them from time to time. First, we went to a local flea market. We love browsing those. And this one you could spend a week in and not see everything. They have some really neat old stuff there (among the mountains of junk). We then went for chinese food, a favorite of ours. And to top it off we went to see the movie Meet the Browns with Angela Bassett. Nice chick-flick! I laughed, I cried, I pigged out on theatre popcorn. We had a thoroughly great time.

It was a much needed momentary reprieve from the Everest-sized pile of work I have in front of me on this break. It was a reprieve from that frantic feeling of having deadlines to meet, and not having enough time (or so it chronically seems) to meet them.

With Easter upon us tomorrow, I thought the flowers would add a bit of holiday festivity. And to bolster the festivity, here is a pic I received in an email entitled: The Ultimate Peep Show. I got a kick out of it. Hope it makes you laugh.

Happy Easter, All

I love you.

Mic

Mic,

Beautiful flowers...torture the Peeps!!!

Happy belated Easter...sounds like you had a good one and a nice little reprieve.

I plan to go tomorrow to check out what the ITT folks can do to get us a nice trip to Paris. Will let you you know how it goes.

As usual, work has been hectic; overseas is a lot busy than bases back there, but I like the challenges. I hope to send a small package out this week...will let you know when it goes from here.

Gonna run! Bye!

Love to all,

Debbie

Hi Deb. Glad to hear from you. You MUST have been busy lately, like me, since neither of us created any blog activity for awhile. About 6 more weeks for me this semester. I need more than a week's break but I am holding out to take a semester off until after I get the master's done. With any luck and a LOT of reading, I will pass my exams in October and the one master's class I have to complete in the upcoming Fall semester and I will graduate in December.

Hi Mic, I have been pretty busy...work the weekends, work at night, work way too much! I try to take at least one of the weekends down off but that doesn't always happen either...oh well. Now it looks like I'll be taking on more responsiblities as we merge into a new flight with 5 times as many people...and it looks like I'll take the lead. No money, though! At least that's what I think.

Glad to hear you're getting closer to your goals. Soon you will have reached it and trust me...it's an important personal accomplishment to when you do get there...celebrate!

Love you, Deb

Yeah, I am gonna have a party, even if I have to throw it myself. The people at work threw me one for when I got my bachelors. I knew about the party, but I had no idea they were going to surprise me with a cash gift. It made me cry.

So I cannot wait to celebrate this one. It has been earned hurdling greater obstacles and I'm gonna party like crazy when I get it.

Sounds like you work too much. I am glad to see you go on trips/excursions to pamper yourself though. So don't work too hard, even if they throw more responsibilities at you.
